This is an assembled diorama in 1/35 scale with figures from Master Box and Dragon, and the vehicle from Tamiya with accessories from Eduard. The build ruins are from Verlinden with sculpted foam groundwork mounted on a Red Oak base.

During the initial fighting for the Arnhem Bridge, German Armored Reconnaissance troops of the 9th SS Panzer Division were decimated and repulsed by the men of the British 1st Airborne Division. This was their only victory during the nine day. Local Dutch volunteers played a part in the battle by providing tactical intelligence and serving as guides in urban areas. They also guarded prisoners, served as litter bearers and manned fighting positions with paratroopers.
