During World War II, the song became popular world-wide among soldiers, regardless of their alliances. 70 years later, the chorus is familiar to young and old around the world. "Roll out the barrel, we'll have a barrel of fun. Roll out the barrel, we've got the blues on the run. Zing boom tararrel, ring out a song of good cheer.
