The figures are kit-bashed from Nitto and Nemrod. It’s awaiting assembly. The groundwork is a resin casting mounted on Wenge wood base.

I saw this armored fighting suit and it immediately made me think of the works of H. G. Wells and Jules Verne. The fantastic machines and creatures from these works are now grouped into a genre named “Steampunk”. Movies like "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen", “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea” and others are set in a Victorian era where steam powered machines and Zeppelins are blended with computers and rockets.
