A Midsummer Night’s Dream
Shakespeare’s Reform
Fairies are evil? No, no he said…
I'll tell you a story of good fairies instead
A story of Lovers and Fairies of the wood
A story of creatures simply misunderstood
There’s Titania and Oberon; Cobweb and Puck
Who help the young lovers, who are down on their luck
How can this be? His audience demanded
Fairies are evil, and underhanded
But soon his ideas slowly took hold.
Through thousands of people his stories were told
Now fairies are happy, mischievous and bold
And because of the Bard, they’ll never grow old
